You deserve more than just getting through the day.
Maybe you've become so used to pushing through that you barely recognize yourself anymore. You're exhausted from holding everything together, feeling disconnected from yourself and the world around you, or wondering why life still feels so difficult despite your best efforts.
Therapy is about more than managing symptoms—it's about understanding what's keeping you stuck, reconnecting with yourself, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
Virtual psychotherapy for adults across Ontario, offering support for trauma, depression, anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, and life transitions
No pressure—just a chance to ask questions, and see how it feels to talk together

— Before you decide
I’d love to introduce myself
Hey, I'm Emma.
Emma Fackelmann (she/her), M.A., Registered Psychotherapist
CRPO Registration #10480
I'm a Registered Psychotherapist providing virtual therapy to adults across Ontario, with a focus on depression, persistent low mood, and complex emotional concerns.
I'm curious and engaged in the room with you. I'll ask questions, share what I'm noticing, and make room for you to tell me if I've got something wrong. Some sessions go deeper; others start with whatever happened this week.
I think good therapy feels like two real people talking. There can be difficult emotions, yes, but also relief, humour, and those moments when something finally makes a little more sense.
— What we can work toward
What if life didn’t have to feel like this?
— Imagine waking up and not dreading the day.
— Having enough energy to actually participate in your life.
— Feeling connected to people you care about.
— Feeling hopeful without having to force it.
— Enjoying something—and noticing that you enjoyed it.
— Laughing and really meaning it.
— Trusting that a hard day doesn’t mean you’re back at the beginning.
Recognizing yourself again.
— what working with me is like
Let's get curious about what's happening underneath.
You don’t need to arrive with the right words or a clear explanation. We’ll pay attention to what keeps repeating, what your mind and body have learned to protect you from, and what might become possible when you understand yourself differently.
You can start wherever you are.

A free 20-minute consultation is simply a chance for us to connect, talk a little about what’s bringing you to therapy, and see whether you feel comfortable with my approach.
I’ll ask about what you’re hoping for and what you’ve been experiencing, and you’re welcome to ask any questions about how I work or what therapy might look like.
There’s no pressure to have everything figured out — and no pressure to book afterward.

Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and conversational. I want it to feel like a space where you can be yourself, while also having enough direction that we’re not just talking in circles.
Together, we’ll look at what’s underneath the surface, explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work toward changes that feel meaningful in your everyday life.

Therapy tends to work best when you feel comfortable with the person you’re talking to and their approach matches what you’re looking for. I offer a warm, collaborative style with enough structure and direction to help us move beyond simply talking about what happened.
The free consultation gives you a chance to ask questions, hear more about my approach, and see whether working together feels comfortable.
